Michael Scofield is ALIVE!!!! The Return of Prison Break

Back in April 2017, Prison Break the TV series returned for a precedent 5th season. I was excited but scared. I had 7 years to deal with the fact that they killed off the lead, Michael Scofield. But now he’s alive. Now its 2018 and I’m finally watching it. Look I know I’m late but I wasn’t ready. And let me tell you, the writers did not skip a beat!!! Let’s break it down!

The hits just keep coming…

Sara is married. Well I wasn’t surprised by this. But I do have some questions.

Lincoln is a mess. Now he running from folks and has fallen back into his own ways. Excuse me sir, after all that Michael did for you I would think you would have become a model citizen. But then maybe he took his brother’s death a lot harder than anticipated.

So the show opens with T-Bag being released from prison and he gets a mysterious letter on his way out. Then he goes to Lincoln and shows him the photo of Michael…ALIVE! (Spoiler alert: we know that Michael is alive – that is the only way for this season to make sense but now we have to figure out why he’s been alive for 7 years and nobody bothered to tell his family) Lincoln thinks T-Bag is up to some mess but what would he have to gain by revealing this? He’s just as confused as Lincoln.

**Can we get excited that T-Bag is back in the picture? He was one of my favorites.

Lincoln goes to Sara and we discover he hasn’t kept in touch with her or his nephew in a long time. Um, excuse me sir but that’s as close as you are going to get with having Michael back in your life. I understand that you are hurt but for real?

Anyway, we meet Sara’s husband and let’s just say, he’s no Michael. Sara doesn’t believe that Michael is alive but Lincoln is still questioning the photo. He realizes that he’s being followed and was damn near killed. He phones Sara to tell her and then a blond headed chick comes to her house. This is where I got super excited because Sara is no punk! But now I’m paying attention. The blond lady came to kill Sara and maybe even her son but she shoots her husband in the thigh and leaves him there. He saw her face. Doesn’t that scream funky to anyone???? Red flags are flying with this dude. Why would you injure him and not kill him???

Lincoln does some more digging and realizes that his brother was not buried and is indeed alive. He tells Sara they need to go to Yemen where he may be held as a prisoner but Sara cannot go. She decides to enlist the help of authorities. Lincoln decides to enlist the help of old friends. Hey C-Note! He changed his whole life around and tried to talk Lincoln out of going to Yemen which is in the middle of a Civil War. But we know Lincoln is a hot head so he’s going to go anyway. While in the hotel, Sucre comes wanting to help find Michael and then that’s where I lost it. I actually had tears in my eyes.

**The fact that the entire cast is still alive and were able to come together for this season is epic. The chemistry is the same. They are more seasoned and just bless us with their skills. I’m soo proud of everyone especially the writers. This is a great cast!!!

So as Sucre tries to plead his case for coming C-Note enters and says that he will help Lincoln after all. When they arrive in Yemen they meet resistance and Sheba. She comes to assist C-Note and Lincoln.

**Let me say this, Lincoln and Sheba have crazy chemistry. I’m watching these two on screen together and I’m just waiting for them to hook up. Seriously!! Also, Sheba is gorgeous.

Lincoln sees Michael in the prison but he’s under an alias and acted like he don’t know nobody. But the first thing Michael did was show off his new tattoos which Lincoln acknowledged but see we got to remember that Lincoln has been mourning his brother so he’s not thinking clearly. Michael missed him as well because when he left he looked like he wanted to cry and was in agony of seeing his brother.

Sara on the other hand met with this bastard, Paul Kellerman. Yup, I’m going to stay in my feelings when it comes to him. However, he’s trying to paint the picture of Michael committing murder and faking his own death. Plus he kept trying to get Sara to drink water from a glass which was weird. I’m watching you sir!!!

I’m excited to see what happens this season and I will return with a final thoughts recap when I’m done. If you don’t know about Prison Break then get Hulu and watch it from the beginning.

Season 2: Michael, Lincoln and the gang are on the run.

Season 3: Michael is in a Panamanian prison

Season 4: Michael and Lincoln get revenge and seek the truth plus Michael dies. (not a spoiler due to season 5)
