New Music Alert: Queen by Nicki Minaj

I was never a fan of Nicki Minaj. NEVER! I couldn’t stand her and I thought she was weird. But then a song or two (Super Bass and Starships) would play on the radio and I would find myself bopping to her. It really wasn’t until I heard High School that I started paying attention. People were tuned into Nicki when she was putting out mixed tapes and I wasn’t down for it. Then she did an interview with The Breakfast Club and she got on the hosts for not asking questions related to her album and having her there without even listening to her album. That’s a major “L” for them. I started becoming more interested in this Nicki woman and began to like her. So when the Pink Print album dropped I bought it. It was everything to me. Everything! I became a Nicki fan and you really couldn’t say anything more about it. To me she was the best female rapper out there. However, by default, she had no competition for years.

The long awaited Queen album dropped and I want to slap her. How dare she make us wait! Currently she is promoting the album but I want to say, congratulations on a job well done. This was truly worth the wait. I have to give this 5 stars. If you don’t know, then go get Tidal and listen to her album. She put her heart and soul into this project and it’s terrific. Nicki…you go girl! I don’t have a favorite track on the album because I like the whole project. I’m just excited to see Nicki’s growth. Keep winning Queen! Keep winning!!
