Quantico: Season 3 Episode 8

This was another deep episode. Alex went undercover and died. You read that right!

She is indeed pregnant about 10 weeks and she has a decision to make but not before finishing her assignment. Again, why are we putting ourselves in harm’s way? This mission gets the best of her and she drowns. Shelby of all people rescues her from the water and tries to bring her back. We see flashes of Alex’s life flash before our eyes as she is slipping away but then she comes back. Scared, she grabs a hold of Shelby who reveals that she is pregnant. To make a long story short (I have always wanted to say that) Alex lost the baby.

Here is my issue: I wonder why the writers chose to have Shelby rescue Alex and not Ryan. I figure it’s because if Ryan saved her, then his feelings will be exposed which would cause more issues for Shelby. I mean I felt bad for Alex but then again, not really because she knew the risks.

I’m conflicted. I kind of want her to just go back to Italy now.
