Mahogany Fitness - April is all about The Core

April Monthly Goal: Consistency is key! Whether it is to lose weight or to run a triathlon we all have our own fitness goals one way or another. But the key is consistency. Last month we challenged you to simply make it a priority to get in 30 minutes of a workout, whether you go to the gym or if you go to the park. If you have a machine you bought online and never used it then start using it for 30 minutes. 30 minutes can change a lot. If we want to succeed then we really need to be consistent in achieving our goals. And that’s just not in fitness. That’s in all areas of our lives. It is important that we maintain the knowledge that being inconsistent is detrimental to reaching our goals.

Trainer Spotlight: Meet Caitlin

I met this beauty when I became a member at a local gym in Morristown. What she doesn't know is that she was originally supposed to be my trainer for the 40 day challenge. However, I heard through the grapevine that she was hard so I opted for another trainer. LOL....we worked out prior to this interview and I remembered why I love her. Caitlin is a "core" trainer. She knows exactly how to engage our cores and teach us movements that help us rather than hurt us. Also she has a sick body and amazing booty. (#bootygoals)

Fitness Goal of the Month: Strengthen our Core with Planks

Here is a calendar to help you master the art of planks. This will help tighten your core. It’s easier on your back especially if you have difficulties with sit-ups or crunches. After this month, don’t ever say you can’t because clearly you can!

Real people: Okay so here are some real people with fitness goals. I challenged my co-worker to a 90 day fitness challenge. Let’s see who has the most impressive transformation. Here is where you all come in. You can keep track each month and vote for your favorite.
